OUR STORY
As you might already know, this has been a long time coming. But we are guessing that most of you do not know the ripple in time that will soon lead us to the alter. This is our story.
We first met at our mutual friends unsanctioned house party during the summer of 2015. Little did we know that just under a decade later, we would be preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage.
After a night of swimming, we talked for hours and danced to old slow songs. Although we stayed in touch and remained friends throughout the coming years, our spark did not reignite until August 18th, 2018, after Claire graduated college and moved back to Houston.
Both families soon wholeheartedly welcomed the couple into one another’s families. As they began to spend weekend after weekend together (and many very large Kurtin/Collier family events), all accepted the inevitable fate that will soon eclipse on January 11th, 2025. Colton’s late father had a special affinity for Claire, who he deemed, “The Drum Major”. He certainly blesses this matrimony in the company of our Lord and Savior.
Fast-forward a couple years and the big day has come. Colton made the arrangements for the engagement but threw them by the wayside in an effort to not spoil any surprises and the two decided to head to Galveston. Colton proposed on Palm beach on June 30th, 2022. Little did Colton & Claire know that her father, Robert, proposed to her mother, Kellie, on that very beach some 40 years ago.

WHAT'S THE DRESSCODE?
Our wedding is a black tie optional preferred event. We would love to see our guests in evening gowns and tuxedos but it is also acceptable to wear formal suits and cocktail dresses, we’ll leave it up to you!
CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate plus-ones. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!
WHAT'S ON THE MENU?
The last touches are still being made, so we can't share the detailed menu yet, but the theme is American food. We do cater for allergies and special diets, just inform us in the RSVP form.
ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?
Although we love your children, the event will be an adults-only occasion.
CAN I MAKE A SPEECH?
Unfortunately the time is limited and we have the line up list full already. However we would love to hear your stories and anecdotes about the bride and groom during the cocktail hour!
CAN I TAKE PICTURES?
We have a hired a professional photographer so you just need to remember to pose for them. There will also be a Photo Booth that will be made into a storyboard, so make sure to stop by and get etched into our memory of the day we said yes to forever!

For our out of town guests, we are very appreciative for you effort to join us in our celebration. We have gathered some info here for a successful stay.
THE JOURNEY HERE
The closest airport to arrive is George Bush International Airport (airport code IAH). The ceremony at St. Cecilia Catholic Church is 5 minutes from the hotel. Following the ceremony, the reception will be held at Houston Country Club, 15 minutes away from the church. If you are staying at The Westin Houston Memorial City, transportation will be provided to and from both the ceremony and reception. Otherwise, we ask that you Uber or drive to the venues. Note, complimentary valet parking will be provided at Houston Country Club.
